Linda Silver

Sometimes fairy tales do come true.

One day in the autumn of 1983, while flying from his old stomping grounds in Tampa to his new home in the suburbs of New York City, broadcasting legend Scott Shannon happened to turn on his radio as he passed over Roanoke, Virginia. Coming in loud and clear from station K-92 below was the voice of a young air talent named Linda Silver.

Shannon called her that week, and said, "How would you like to come to New York City and be my new overnight Z-jay?" She said, "Yes!" The rest is history.
