The fewer circuits a musical signal encounters on its way to your loudspeakers, the greater its musical purity That, in brief, is the inspiration for Adcom's GFP-565, the world's first affordable reference-class preamplifier with direct path, linear gain circuitry.

The GFP-565 results from a complete rethinking of conventional preamplifier designs and the development of several exceptional strategies for improved performance. For example, circuit paths, often a little-understood but important contributor to outstanding sound quality, are as short as possible to minimize any sonic deterioration. Internal wiring is almost non-existent: high quality, gold-plated input and output connectors are mounted directly on the copper plated glass-epoxy circuit boards.

A high current, very low impedance power supply delivers DC operating voltages to all circuit sections via massive solid copper buss bars. Programmable regulators and low ESR capacitors help avoid even minute voltage drops and current losses that can effect sound quality.

Proprietary, high speed linear gain amplifiers, individually selected for low noise and minimal DC offset, operate exclusively in class "A" mode for maximum musical resolution. High current buffers at both main and tape outputs assure superior dynamics regardless of any unusual cable or load idiosyncrasy.

Five high level inputs and a phono input combine with a separate external processor loop for extraordinary flexibility. And, of course, you may listen to one input while recording from another.

In combination with any of Adcom's power amplifiers, the GFP-565 lets you experience the exceptionally lifelike sound which has astonished even the most demanding critics. And that's a detail you can't afford to overlook.
