THE BALL digital technology
from ADCOM is the heart of a home theater system that integrates our award
winning designs and performance with the latest breakthroughs in home
entertainment audio and audio/video components.
Start with an all new "on-screen",
"user-friendly" interface technology that will obsolete all your
remote controls - It can operate basically every audio and video component you
own (or ever will own), and almost any other remote controllable product you
choose.
Now, integrate it with a complete home theater audio system
designed around an ADCOM DOLBY Digital (AC-3) decoder with the latest and best
(of course) MOTOROLA DSP devices to get the most out of the new DVD technology,
an ADCOM Tuner/Preamplifier with five Surround Sound modes including DOLBY
ProLogic, and all powered by a world-class ADCOM THX certified amplifier that
delivers over 130 watts of power into 5 channels.
And because ADCOM
always builds products for tomorrow as well as today, THE BALL is HDTV
upgradeable and can easily be customized to add and upgrade any or all of your
components.
ADCOM, for more than 20 years, has been an industry leader
in designing and building state-of-the-art, yet cost effective, home
entertainment products. The first company to be consistently acknowledged for
offering audio and audio/video components that outperform competitive products
costing two, three, and five times as much.
So it comes as no surprise
that when ADCOM develops a home entertainment system, it represents a whole new
level of technology and innovation that offers a combination of performance,
convenience, and features that everyone else can only envy.
But wait, there's more. . .
A few years from now
you'll probably be able to change channels, adjust volume, and control all of
your home theater components by using telepathy. Until then, ADCOM puts the
next best thing at your fingertips - THE BALL - so revolutionary (and
evolutionary) that it may just be the greatest invention since the remote
control.
THE BALL is an on-screen (like on your TV screen), user (like
you and your family) interactive control system simply operated by the same
innovation that made computers easier, faster, and much more fun - the mouse.
Yet digitally powered to control your entire home entertainment system and more.
The
"heart" of THE BALL is a sleek and wireless hand held controller with
just 3 buttons and a ball (hence, the name). Roll and Click - that's it.
The
"brains" of THE BALL, is advanced microprocessing circuitry with
extensive communication links driven by dedicated software. Don't worry, all
this "brains" stuff is housed in a black box that hides in a closet or
cabinet. You never have to see it or touch it. The only time you'll know it's
there is when your dealer comes to expand your system or add new components
because THE BALL system can be completely upgraded with almost unlimited growth
and component interactive capabilities.
If it can operate via an infrared remote signal, it can be part of THE
BALL system. If you can't figure out or can't remember, or are simply tired of
your dozen different remote controls with countless buttons and long forgotten
features, then you must experience THE BALL from ADCOM.
A main
on-screen display shows all your audio, video, and other component choices:
DVD, CD, VCR, Cable, DSS (Digital Satellite System), AM/FM Tuner or any other
sources or electronic devices (like lamps or even outdoor security cameras) you
may have. Then, by rolling THE BALL and clicking, all the controls of the
source component itself appear on your screen.
For example: By
clicking on DVD on the main screen, a separate DVD Player "screen"
appears and allows you to select any of the features your DVD Player has
available. Roll and Click - That's it. Then by clicking on the video picture
it expands back to the full size of the screen.
Or by clicking on VCR on
the main screen, a separate VCR "screen" appears and allows you to
select any of the features your VCR has available. Roll and Click - That's it.
Multiple VCR's? No Problem. Simply click on VCR2 from the main screen. You
can even customize names or brands of any of your components. Roll and Click -
That's it. Then click on the video picture and it expands back to the full size
of your screen.
Or click on DSS from the
main screen and a separate DSS "screen" shows all your available
station logos. Then click on the logo for the station you want to watch. Roll
and Click - That's it. Then click on the video picture and it again expands
back to the full size of the screen.
But we did say three buttons. One is the "Click" of the "Roll
and Click" we've been describing above. The other two are Volume Up and
Volume Down. What could be easier? Having someone else to do it. Except, then
they'd be having all the fun.
And, of course, THE BALL can be designed
so when you come home and you're just too tired to do anything more than push
one button, the whole system will turn on to your favorite TV station or FM
broadcast or CD selection and all you need to do is sit down and enjoy. The
hardest part of THE BALL system is waiting for your dealer to install it.
THE
BALL organizes and simplifies the way an entire home entertainment system
operates. It goes far beyond conventional remote controls and allows you and
your dealer to assemble a basic or totally comprehensive system without worrying
about how you and/or the components interact. It directly addresses the needs
of today's technophobes who don't want the hassle of the increasingly complex
operation of their audio, video, and home theater components and accessories.
Because of its extraordinary capabilities, THE BALL can be easily configured for
virtually any system - to operate almost any remote controllable components or
devices, regardless of their features or manufacturer(s).
And best of all - it's from ADCOM. So it's designed for your ears.
And what's between them.
