Site Area: The complex is located on a heavily landscaped 15.3 acre site.

Property History: The property was purchased in 1967 by the Frank B. Hall company for its corporate headquarters. Initially, the headquarters was located in the existing Tudor manor house built by John D. Rockefeller, Sr. In 1974, the South Building was constructed and in 1977 an addition to this building was completed. The corporate conference center was built in 1979. During the period (1979-1980), the manor house was renovated for corporate dining and entertainment. The North Building was constructed in 1985.

Architectural Treatment: The office complex and conference center have contemporary designs which are integrated into and blend well with the surrounding landscape. The exterior of both office buildings consists of exposed steel construction with bronze glass and aluminum curtainwall while the Conference Center is of steel frame, concrete, brick and stucco construction with a slate roof. The fitness/educational center is of similar construction and was originally a carriage house for the residence, but most recently was used as a computer training facility. Each of the structures takes full advantage of the natural rolling terrain and is set within the gently sloping hills.

Description of Facilities: The North Building has three stories and the South Building two. Of the five office floors, four have grade level access.

The first floor of the Conference Center has two large meeting rooms able to accommodate 50 participants and a two-story reception area with fireplace. The floor also includes a large bedroom suite with kitchenette. The second floor has 10 hotel type guest rooms, each with two twin beds.

The manor house, originally used as a private residence, has been converted for use as a corporate dining/entertainment facility, with a commercial-type kitchen, and several conference/meeting rooms.

The ground level of the fitness/educational center has a raised computer floor and bathroom, and the partial second floor has an office with a washroom. Plans are underway for conversion of the facility into a fitness center.

Neighborhood Description: The village of Briarcliff Manor, a primarily residential community, is located in the west central portion of Westchester County, approximately 8 miles north of White Plains. The village is situated within the Town of Mount Pleasant and Ossining, and is about 25 miles from Midtown Manhattan.

The neighborhood was originally developed with estate type homes on large tracts with rolling hills and rocky terrain, gaining a reputation as a prestigious residential area. Development in the immediate area consists mainly of single-family homes, Briarcliff Middle School/High School and Pace University. Additionally, the complex is within a short drive of the shopping districts of Briarcliff Manor and Pleasantville via Pleasantville Road. The area has considerable open space, such as Rockefeller State Park Preserve and the Hardscrabble Wilderness Area that borders the eastern boundary of the property. Also in close proximity to the site is the private Briar Hall Golf Club which was recently purchased by Donald Trump. Plans for the 144 acre property call for the construction of 87 town homes, redesign of the 18 hole golf course and construction of a new 80,000 square foot club house, all beginning in October, 1998. The area boasts some of the region's finest schools. A full complement of varied housing in both type and price is available within 15 minutes of the site.

Demographically, the area within a 20 mile radius of the property has very favorable characteristics. For example, over 37% of the population are college graduates. The largest age cohort is between 25-44 years old.
