EXPERIENCE
The Appleton Mfg Division has been producing core cutters since prior to 1950. We were once the maintenance department of a core manufacturing facility. In the ensuing years, we have refined the science of cutting spiral wound fiber cores and plastic tubes. Our extended experience in this industry helps ensure that your long term needs will be met. Our focus is on core winding, core cutting, core finishing, and core handling equipment.

Appleton Mfg Division began as an innovator, holding the original patents on mandrel based core cutters. We have continued this tradition with a steady stream of new machines and recent patent applications on guarding and rapid diameter change-over devices. LONGEVITY
Appleton Core Cutters last - and last - and last! In 1987 the Appleton Mfg Division set out to find every core cutter we had built in the preceding 37 years. We found that 92% of the 1400 cutters were still cutting cores every day. Today, we continue to build tough, long-lived equipment for the paper and converting industries - it's our heritage! SAFETY
Appleton introduced "double guarded" cut-off knives in 1986. Since then we've patented a guard that offers enhanced protection for the knives on earlier models we produced. Our concern for the safety of your personnel is evident in our lack of dust, low noise levels, guarding, controls and interlocks. Every machine is shipped with the electrical and pneumatic disconnects and lock-outs you need to protect your staff and comply with OSHA requirements. There is nothing more for you to buy and install. Operator safety, another Appleton Advantage!

DOCUMENTATION
Appleton helps you avoid the frustrations that come from owning an "undocumented" machine. We maintain drawing files and "as-built" part numbered Bills of Material that ensure you will be able to get the support you need. Each machine comes with a set of Installation, Operation, and Maintenance Manuals. We've been complimented time and again for the thoroughness of our manuals and their ease of use. Appleton provides the information you need to keep your equipment productive.

FIELD SUPPORT
Appleton Mfg Division provides field support by phone or field visit. Our phone support includes "800" access to Customer Representatives, Design and Manufacturing staff. During the off-hours we have a paging number with around the clock coverage. If you wish, we can set up a program of scheduled field visits for on-going training and preventive maintenance. When you own an Appleton core cutter you have the advantage of full support.

PARTS
Appleton provides rapid delivery of the parts necessary to keep your equipment running. Our thorough documentation, stockroom, and in-house manufacturing, give us the capability of identifying your parts needs and getting them to you fast. We regularly support machines that are over forty years old. When vended components are no longer available, we develop alternatives to permit you to keep your equipment productive. If you can't find your manuals, we offer a unique "Parts-Fax" program that puts the information you need to determine your parts needs in your hands at fax speeds. Owners of older equipment find this to be a real advantage. Appleton provides parts support.
