ALL MEMBERS (OWNERS AND BREEDERS) ARE TO ABIDE BY THE FOLLOWING RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE CODE OF ETHICS SET FORTH HEREIN BY THE UNITED STATES BORDEAUX CORPORATION.

1. TO PROVIDE proper housing, food, health care, safety and loving environment for their dog(s).

2. TO POSSES proper legal pedigree documentation for each individual Dogue De Bordeaux. Any falsification found by the ethics committee will result in the revocation of registration and expulsion from the Corporation.

3. IN STRIVING to keep the Dogue De Bordeaux as pure-bred, absolutely NO CROSS BREEDING will be permitted. Any puppy papers from any suspected litters will result in member suspension until completely researched by the ethics committee. Based on those findings, a decision will then be rendered as to either re-instatement or expulsion from the Corporation and revocation of registration.

4. THE SELLING to pet stores, department stores, or litters in their entirety, will NOT be permitted. Further, the misuse or selling to anyone remotely suspected of using dogs for illegal/immoral purposes (i.e. drug affiliated, laboratory use, or fighting) is also NOT permitted. If a member is found guilty of any such sales mentioned, it will result in immediate revocation of registration, and expulsion from the Corporation. Request for appeal will be granted for re-entry.

5. IF A PURCHASER wishes to return a dog (for whatever reason) the seller should honor the return at no cost to the breeder. This is to ensure the dogs safety and welfare rather than jeopardize its future in an unwanted home or dog pound.

6. TO MANTA IN the health and safety of the dog, the breeding of males should not take place before maturity and the breeding of bitches should not take place prior to the second heat cycle, or as close to 2 years of age as possible. Nor should breeding take place every heat cycle.

7. ALL MEMBERS attending dog shows and functions, should observe punctuality, behave in a sportsman-like manner, and dress accordingly. If any member or their handler is witnessed allowing any of their dogs to demonstrate aggressive behavior at show sites, that dog will be automatically disqualified and the member will be asked to leave show site property. (Show registration fee will not be refunded.)

8. ALL MEMBERS are expected to assist other Dogue De Bordeaux owners and breeders with any information regarding basic health,safety, and welfare of the breed as well as information pertaining to shows, meetings, and any other functions. All members are expected to maintain and support the integrity and standards of this corporation.

I HEREBY PLEDGE TO FOLLOW AND UPHOLD ALL OF THE ABOVE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE CODE OF ETHICS TO UNITED STATES BORDEAUX CORPORATION.
