Pastor Ken White Rev. Ken White was born in Brattleboro, Vermont, and grew up in the Village of South Royalton, Vermont. He attended college in Princeton, New Jersey at Westminster Choir College and did his theological studies at Boston University School of Theology. Ken is in his tenth year at First United Methodist Church in Brewster. He has served churches in Babylon, East Quogue, White Plains, Georgetown, Bridgeport, and Simsbury.

Music has been an important part of Ken's ministry and life. While in college he sang with the New York Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra and Berlin Philharmonic. He has written a number of compositions for choir, congregation and organ. "Go In Peace" is the most widely sung and is published in the Chalice Press (Disciple of Christ).

In June 2004 Ken will finish 36 years of ministry in the United Methodist Church and is planning to retire atthat time. Ken is looking into the possibility of serving as a missionary for the church in Europe following retirement.

Choir Director Victor Tenore

Organist Christine Tenore
Victor Tenore, choir director, enjoys singing and sings pro-bono at many non-profit events and in a local choir. An accountant, from Wilton, Connecticut, he maintains his own accounting practice and also owns a service company based in Wilton. Prior to joining FUMC Brewster, he was the choir director and church trustee of Sacred Heart Church, Georgetown, Connecticut. Victor lives in Wilton, Connecticut, with his wife, Christine and his six stepchildren.

Christine Tenore was born in Schenectady, New York and began playing the organ and taking lessons when she was eight years old.. By the time she was twelve, she was playing the organ for services in her local church. During her senior year of high school, she played the organ every morning for two masses before going to school. Christine also took guitar lessons in order to accompany Sunday and other liturgical services. Christine graduated from SUNY Binghamton with a degree in Biology and worked for twelve years managing and operating medical laboratories. She made a career change after the birth of her sixth and is currently a paralegal with an Edlerlaw attorney in Fairfield, Connecticut. During the past 30+ years, she has served in churches in Syracuse and Binghamton, New York, and Stamford, Wilton, and Weston, Connecticut, in addition to accompanying a local choral group, and volunteering to assist children’s choirs and a Knights of Columbus Chapter. During her “free” time, Christine loves to play the piano, (which she took up 10 years ago) , read and travel. Her dream is to build an addition onto her home for her own pipe organ!
