- The Gould Piano Trio has
established a reputation as one of the most exciting ensembles
to emerge from Britain in recent years. Numerous festival appearances
have included Edinburgh, City of London, Bath, Spoleto and the
BBC Proms Chamber Series. In 1996 they recorded the cover disc
for the BBC Magazine, performing trios by Beethoven, Fauré
and Brahms. The Gould Trio has been the recipient of many international
awards, including the Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition
and the Premio Vittorio Gui in Florence. Having been chosen as
the British "Rising Stars" for the 1998-99 season,
the trio performed at such prestigious venues as the Concertgebouw,
Amsterdam; Palais der Beaux Arts, Brussels; and Carnegie Hall,
