Information Technology, and Libraries, Vol. 13, No. 4, December 1994, p.
249-256
The status of technological applications in American libraries, how much
"technology" do most libraries of all types and sizes have, the
accuracy of library technology implementation in the literature, challenges
faced by practitioners, and technological goals of libraries are among the
questions posed in a survey. The survey found that a number of libraries
are on the technological "cutting edge" but only a few "have
it all." Librarians also
expressed stress over the multitude of changes and expenses incurred.
