T.H.E. Journal, Vol 24 No 9, April 1997,
p. 61-64
The director of DO-IT, a project that received the 1995 NII Award in
Education, describes how teaching via the Internet compares to traditional
teaching. Based on experiences, she details how guest speakers, class discussions,
exams and similar issues are handled; even "product demos" and
field work can be integrated. Finally, she offers up her own "good
news/ bad news" insights concerning this paradigm shift.
