Description:

Re-designed with engaging graphics and entertaining animated characters, NumberMaze Challenge combines the fun of solving 3D mazes with the challenge of solving math problems. Designed by educational experts, math teachers and parents, NumberMaze Challenge is designed for learning and practicing whole number math. Friendly characters amuse players while guiding them through intricate mazes and helpful tutorials. Features include colorful 3-D rendered mazes to provide a first person viewpoint, animated characters to guide players through each maze, and digitized speech to provide easy-to-follow instructions for non-readers. There are three types of animated tutorials to introduce and review concepts, and remind players of basic rules.

Game play options are available for teachers and parents to control the level of play. Extensive customizing features for individualized learning: progress automatically through practice and mastery levels, or adjust types of math problems to match individual abilities, needs and learning levels. The program includes over 350 learning levels for grades K through 6, based on standard text books. There are also detailed record keeping and progress reports for individual assessment, and the program automatically records progress and statistics for up to50 students per group (and unlimited number of groups) to be viewed at anytime.

Players can track the number and type of math problems, percentage correct, identify areas of difficulty and mastery, and earn and print Certificates of Achievement at mastery levels. Players learn and practice counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, re-grouping and division. A random Word Problem Generator creates an infinite number of word problems for all math levels. Critical thinking skills are used in negotiating and solving mazes, and completing math problems to move through gates.
