Description:

World Discovery Deluxe is an interactive global geography and history program that tests your knowledge of geographical, political and historical people, places and events. This fun and educational program contains over 75 maps from around the globe. Each colorful map can show countries, states, cities, mountain ranges, rivers, lakes, seas, oceans and much more. Explore these maps using twelve interactive and challenging games and activities. Different views include:

Digitized speech in English and most local languages are included, as are National Anthems and State and National Flags. Users can locate various geographic features including major mountain ranges and deserts, major rivers, lakes, seas and oceans. Highly detailed maps of every region in the world (including individual maps of each of the United States). Maps can be flipped horizontally or vertically, users can show or hide country borders or the names of countries. Also included are beautiful, still motion, color photos of cities, wonders of the world, famous landmarks and more.

Users can play a dozen different games, create custom games and quizzes for their own, or create custom sets of maps (i.e. the Americas, the Pacific Sector, etc.). Users can set the number of mistakes allowed or time constraints for any game, and set up tournaments with multiple players or race the clock or work at your own pace. High scores can be tracked and recorded for each player.
