This workshop is designed for technical individuals who want to move towards management, and for project managers who want a better understanding of what their technical people do. The workshop starts with a solid footing in requirements analysis, design methodologies, and software testing techniques. Current project management planning methods, along with ways to estimate software size and project resource needs, different life-cycle choices, and ways to choose metrics to track project progress, are presented. For a higher organization view, prominent process improvement models and the role of human factors in software development are also included. Participants in this workshop should leave with a better understanding of all aspects of developing and managing a project.
This workshop is intended for project managers, systems engineers, software engineers, programmers, analysts, and staff members involved in software development.
