This workshop describes a Y2K risk management methodology based on the Social Security Administration's standard, with best practices included from other government agencies and from industry. Participants will learn the relationship between business continuity and risk management, and how to identify "killer" risks. A proposed risk management template is offered, and participants will create a sample plan with it. Participants will also learn how to complete a risk matrix that can be used as a basis for a contingency plan. At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will be able to enhance risk management plans they have already developed, or develop their own plans using the template.
This workshop is intended for organization managers, risk managers, and staff members involved in a risk management effort.
