Q Web Sweden is run as a project connected to The Foundation of Women's Forum. Their overall aim is to promote women's health and equal rights and to ensure women control over sexuality and reproduction. The operational aims are to document projects on women's empowerment and health in Sweden and world-wide, with focus on developing countries; to disseminate information on ongoing local and global activities on gender and health; to enhance contacts for short and long term exchange, interaction and co-operation; and to inspire joint actions for change.


The Centre for Population and Development Activities (CEDPA) - CEDPA is a women-focused nonprofit international organization founded in 1975. CEDPA's mission is to empower women at all levels of society to be full partners in development.


NGO Forum & Youth Forum on ICPD +5 - The aim of the NGO Forum is to accelerate, improve and promote the implementation of the ICPD Programme of Action into the next century by ensuring the involvement of NGOs in the preparatory process leading up to The Hague International Forum (HF), at the HF itself and beyond the HF; discussing the roles and responsibilities of NGOs as major players in the implementation of the ICPD Programme of Action and the partnerships with other key players such as other NGOs, Governments, UN bodies and the private sector; ensuring that critical steps forward identified at the NGO Forum based on, among other things, case studies and national reports will be presented to the HF, the Commission on Population and Development (CPD) and U.N. The Conference of Non-governmental Organizations in Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council assists the great variety of non-governmental organizations in consultative status to promote their common aim of supporting United Nations Charter works on behalf of non-governmental organizations in consultative status, to develop that status and improve their relationship and co-operation with the United Nations and its various organs, provides a forum for non-governmental organizations with common interests to come together to study, plan, support, and act in relation to the principles and programmes of the United Nations.


The Global Reproductive Health Forum @ Harvard (GRHF) is an Internet networking project that aims to encourage the proliferation of critical, democratic discussions about reproductive health and gender on the net. The project provides interactive electronic forums, located in Southern countries, which hope to encourage the participation of under served groups, and distributes reproductive health and rights materials from a variety of perspectives through our clearinghouse web site.


The Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation, based in Menlo Park, California, is an independent health care philanthropy and is not associated with Kaiser Permanente or Kaiser Industries. The Foundation's work is focused on four main areas: health policy, reproductive health, HIV policy, and health and development in South Africa. The Foundation also maintains a special interest in health policy and innovation in its home state of California.


The Reproductive Health Outlook (RHO) website, provides summaries of up-to-date information, links to the best in-depth reproductive health information on the web, and the chance to communicate with international experts and peers through our Community Forum message boards. RHO is especially designed for reproductive health program managers and decision makers working in low-resource settings.


The Boston Women's Health Book Collective is a nonprofit women's health education, advocacy and consulting organization. Their broad purpose is to help individuals and groups make informed personal and political decisions about health and medical care, especially as they relate to women. Linkages - A multimedia resource for environment and development policymakers, this page is maintained by the International Institute for Sustainable Development, and is a part of the Linkages World Wide Web server. It contains information on the Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing, the Conference on Human Settlements, and other recent international meetings. Also lists upcoming meetings on health, population, the environment and related issues.

The Feminist Majority - A 150,000 member-strong grassroots organization -- is a spot for news and information about feminist issues in the United States. Check out pages on feminist careers, breast cancer, political action, affirmative action and much more.

InterAction - A coalition of more than 150 non-profit organizations, concerned with international relief and development, working worldwide -- has information on development, refugees, advocacy, and disaster response and is a link to job/volunteer opportunities in the international development community.

The Foundation Center - An independent nonprofit information clearinghouse -- is a resource for grantseekers, grantmakers, researchers, policymakers, the media, and the general public. Center libraries, located in Atlanta, Cleveland, and San Francisco, provide access to a unique selection of materials on philanthropy and are open to the public free of charge.

SIECUS - The Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States is a 33 year-old nonprofit, dedicated to affirming that sexuality is a natural and healthy part of life. SIECUS develops, collects, and disseminates information, promotes comprehensive education, and advocates the rights of individuals to make responsible sexual choices. WHO - The main objective of the World Health Organization is the attainment by all peoples of the highest possible level of health. Health, as defined by the WHO constitution, is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. The site gives insight into WHO programs and activities.

HDW/PAHO - The Program on Women, Health and Development at the Pan American Health Organization promotes and supports initiatives that respond to the challenge of achieving gender equity in health and human development. UNFPA - the United Nations Population Fund is the largest internationally funded source of population assistance to developing countries. The Fund began operations in 1969 as a subsidiary organ of the United Nations General Assembly to assist developing countries to improve reproductive health and family planning services on the basis of individual choice, and to formulate population policies in support of efforts towards sustainable development.

IPPF - The International Planned Parenthood Federation links national autonomous Family Planning Associations (FPAs) in over 150 countries worldwide. IPPF and its member Associations are committed to promoting the right of women and men to decide freely the number and spacing of their children and the right to the highest possible level of sexual and reproductive health.

The Population Council is a nonprofit, nongovernmental research organization established in 1952. The Council analyzes population issues and trends; conducts biomedical research to develop new contraceptives; works with public and private agencies to improve the quality and outreach of family planning and reproductive health services; helps governments to influence demographic behavior; communicates the results of research in the population field to appropriate audiences; and helps build research capacities in developing countries.

UNIFEM - The United Nations Development Fund for Women promotes the economic and political empowerment of women in developing countries. It works to ensure the participation of women in all levels of development planning and practice. UNIFEM also acts as a catalyst within the UN system to link the needs and concerns of women to all critical issues on the national, regional, and global agendas.

ICRW - The International Center for Research on Women is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting social and economic development with women's full participation. ICRW generates quality, empirical information and technical assistance on women's productive and reproductive roles, their status in the family, their leadership in society, and their management of environmental resources.
