![]() original . . . "FolkRockReggaeBlues" Hi, and welcome. (Click here if you're looking for my schedule) In this site you will find the songs of Hal Lefferts. They are inspired by, or relate to: Iroquois Healing Societies, friendly towns, lust, dolphins, poverty, love, ancient stories, greed, the ideas of Seth; as well as the works of Hyemeyohsts Storm, Olaf Stapledon, Loren Eiseley, Ken Wilber, Rastafari, Daniel Quinn/"Ishmael", Shakespeare, Gary Larson and lots more. Many ghosts and spirits find expression here. They have helped shape my perspectives and they all speak in some way through these songs. Please take a few moments to look over the lyrics. If you like them, you may want to gamble a little and order a CD or tape. If you like it, I encourage you to make some copies for friends as I support the free movement of art, however; when you purchase an original copy it helps to support future projects, and I thank you for that. I am happy to pay the shipping so you've little to loose. It is full of great rhythms, nice guitar work by guest musicians, and harmonies all over the place. You will also find out what I am up to and where I will be performing in the future. I'm working on audio samples so check back sometime soon. In the meantime you may access lyrics to any of the songs on my first album called "People Wave", and others as I add them. This site is evolving. It is designed not to simply promote my music, but also to act as a portal. One that opens into some areas that contain ideas that are dangerous. They are dangerous because these ideas can drastically alter our fundamental thinking, our "world view". . . "A change in the 'world view' is a change in the world viewed" - J. C. Pearce, (loosely quoted from The Crack In The Cosmic Egg) These are provokative ideas that could have a profound impact on our world. My hope is that you will explore, or have already explored some of them, and that you will share your thoughts with me. I am, to quote Peter Gabriel, "wanting contact". Explore the links. Go on . . . I dare you. And while you do, listen to "People Wave" I hope you enjoy your visit. Thanks for stopping by." |
