1907
Crystal Springs Print Works started operations in Chickamauga,
Georgia, as the Bowen-Jewell Cotton Mill.
1914
Part of the facility was converted into a bleachery and the name was
changed to Crystal Springs Bleachery Inc.
1948
Roller print machines were purchased and put into operation.
1969
The Jewell family sold their company to Dan River, Inc. based in Danville, Virginia.
1977
Dan River closed the gray mill but continued to produce fabric in the printing and finishing plant.
1978
A rotary screen printing department was put on-line at Crystal Springs.
1983
Dan River sold the Crystal Springs complex to the current owners, Frank P. Pierce and Thomas S. Tarvin. The name was changed to Crystal Springs Print Works, Inc.
At the present time the facility has roller and screen print capabilities as well as a wide assortment of auxiliary equipment. It is a 750,000 square foot fully integrated print and finishing facility situated on 200 acres that can produce over 1,500,000 yards of bleached, tinted, and/or printed fabric per week.
