This reflects the information RCN has as the technical contact for your company. If youíd like to list someone else, edit and save the fields provided.
Your password as default will mirror the administrative password for your website. To change the password for entry into the control panel, use the field provided. Note this will not change the administrative password to access your website.
To request different A records and pointing methods for your domain(s) use the DNS records form. Our support team will create the records you request within a 24-hour time period.
Review the disk space usage for each domain in your account that RCN hosts. Prevent reaching the limit of the hosting package for a given domain, this will give you time to address any upgrades of space needed to accommodate updates to your website(s).
Clicking on ìWeb Statsî will create an additional login and password prompt. The administrative username and password for your website will give you access to view the current stats associated with the domain your have selected.
Whether your thinking about registering a new domain name, checking the expiration date on a domain registration or seeking contact information for an existing domain name, use whois to accomplish these tasks. Enter the domain name into the field provided and click the search button. The information returned gives the current owner of the domain name being searched or will return ìNo Matchî in which case this domain is currently available to be registered.
Use this function to add or remove email addresses associated with the domain name you have selected. Click the add user button, enter the username and password and click the save button to commit the action. Use the add user page to reset passwords for email users within your account.
Email forwarding can be used to point the email for any account associated to your account to an email address outside the RCN realm. Select Email forwarding, choose the username you wish to forward email for, then type in the email address you would like to receive email. Example user@domain.com forwards to user@domain2.com the email sent to your domain now forwards to another email accounts.
We offer our customers the ability to requlate the "Spam" email they receive into their email box. Customers can choose to allow all email pass through and into their mailbox, or choose a high rating which will block all domains that have been blacklisted as possible "Spamers".
Clicking on "Webmail" will cause a second web browser to appear. Use the login for your email account to gain access. Once youíve logged into webmail you can use it like you would the email on your computer. Read, compose and delete email from anywhere with internet access.
For any needs the control panel does not address, please use the trouble ticket creator to request assistance. Your ticket will be handled in a timely manner by the RCN commercial customer support team, and you will receive a response upon completion of you ticket request.
You have the ability to view any open tickets you currently have pending with the RCN commercial customer support team. When a ticket request has been resolved the ticket will be updated with the resolution.
RCN will keep on file all trouble tickets you have submitted, so you can reference them for any needs you may have.
