PROFESSIONAL SAFE DRILLING

Description: This is the two day weekend class you’ve been asking for--professional safe drilling! Join the ranks of our industry elite by learning the skills needed to open safes like an expert. Drill site selection, dial removal, drilling apparatus, drill bits, inspection lights, borescopes, number transferring, relock triggers, emergency dials and more are covered in this great new class. You will go home with the skills and confidence needed to continue to grow in this profitable field.

It is strongly recommended that the student attend CLT I before taking this class.

Materials: Basic hand tools, inspection lights, dial pullers, safety goggles, drill motors, drill bits, and emergency dials will be provided. If the student wishes to bring some of their own favorite tools to work with, they are encouraged to do so.

The Program:

Day 1: Lock and safe identification, UL ratings for safes, determining lock handing, selecting a drill site, dial removal, lever rigs, fixed rigs, magnetic rigs, drilling mild steel, drilling hardplate, borescope use, reading the combination through the change key hole, transferring numbers, emergency dials, relock devices, relock triggers, and more.

Day 2: We apply what was learned in Day 1 in a hands-on exercise with actual safes. Working in teams of two, you will be required to determine the lock handing, remove the dial, determine an appropriate drilling location, and successfully open the safe. The safe is then closed again, and you’re up against relock triggers and relock devices!
