Description: The best weekend investment any safe technician can make. Learn how to open U.L. listed Group 2 combination locks through the use of touch, sight, and sound. If you have struggled with correspondence courses, or learned the old fashioned methods taught by other schools you are in for a real eye-opener! Throw away those graphs and books and learn real manipulation in just two days. The student should have a good understanding of safe lock basics before taking this class.

Who Should Attend: All locksmiths and safe technicians who want to improve their earning potential.

Materials: All hand-tools, locks, change keys, and other materials necessary to this program are supplied by MBA. Pertinent technical handouts will be made available for the student to take back to the job. Participants need not bring anything but a willingness to learn.

Day 1: Wheel action in mechanical combination locks. Dialing procedures, wheel counting, and contact points are all reviewed. Factors that make manipulation possible. Various approaches to manipulation, including reading all wheels together verses each wheel separately. How to find one number of the combination, how to determine which wheel that number is on, and how to find a second number. Opening the lock when two numbers have been found.

Day 2: Continuation of lessons learned on previous day. Each student is guaranteed to receive individual attention from the instructor.

Program Hours: 9am to 5pm, Saturday through Sunday. There will be a one hour break each day between Noon and 1pm.
