Chess Mentor Version 2.0 was released in January 2001.  The new features include support for 32-bit colors and printing functionality. This enables you to print the diagram of any position of any challenge, along with the commentary leading up to that position.

Current users of Chess Mentor 1.5 can download the program below to upgrade their existing version to Version 2.0, retaining all user profiles and challenge scores.

Before the upgrade utility can work, you must have a working version of Chess Mentor 1.5 on your system, and you must have run Chess Mentor at least once before trying to upgrade.  Visit our Technical Support page if you need help getting your current version to work.  If you recently installed, or re-installed your Chess Mentor 1.5 product, be sure you start and run Chess Mentor 1.5 at least once. (If you have upgraded your hardware, you may need to temporarily reduce your display color range to allow Version 1.5 to run; restore your original display color range after it has run.)

There are two ways you can download the upgrade.  You may either download one (1) large file containing the complete upgrade  or download four (4) smaller files which can be saved to a floppy.

Note: This upgrade will retain all of your user information
