Order Samuel Pepys' Diary
(The "Out of Print" titles may come back into print, which is why I've listed them.)
I recommend Claire Tomalin's excellent new biography of Pepys, "Samuel Pepys: The Unequalled Self." You need to read this even if you have read the diary and the other standard biographies. The wonder of it for me is, that a woman who has so immersed herself into Pepys' life as to walk where he walked and to read the minutia of his bank account records, has also found time in her life to write other biographies!
This is a very readable, accessible, well-documented work.
