Bathos, Laura, bathos. We believed what JFK said, and so we went, did our duty, and some of us died trying. Not one of us asked for anyone's tears, then or now.

My Name is Amber Tays and I am looking for a Veitnam Nurse that would be interested in coming to my school and talking about the experiences they had over there. A few of my fellow classmates and I have taken a keen interest in learning about what the women went through in war. I have learned a lot about the events of the soldiers that were in combat but not so much about the women of the war. I would really appreciate it if someone would do this for me it would really mean a lot to me and my classmates.

IT HAS BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE I HAVE BEEN HERE, TO TELL U WONDERFUL NURSES AND SOILDERS HOW MUCH I LOVE U, AND SO NOW IAM BACK JUST DROPPING IN TO TELL U AGAIN "I LOVE YOU", EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU. And everyday as our world changes I pray and ask GOd to give all of u the love and peace that u deserve, you all did our country a great service, and through u it has been able to be carried on by us youngsters who want so badly to be just like our big bros. and sisters, who served before us. Thank u for a foundation for us to build on. And once again "I LOVE YOU":):):):)

I just came across your site while looking for info about washing the Vietnam wall this year. My father, Jack B. Young, was a corpsman in the Navy. He had served in the Korean War on the USS Missouri, and volunteered to go to Nam with a detachment of Marines. I was 2 yrs old when he was killed in March 1969 about 2 1/2 miles from Da Nang. He was 38 yrs old. I have no memory, just a few pictures that mean the world to me. My hope is to one day "find" someone that knew my father over there. I don't have much info as far as his detachment name, etc. God bless all of you that served with him.
