Doggone Chicago, Second Edition :...

This is a book listing dog friendly restaurants, businesses, and areas in Chicago.  Not a lot listed for Streeterville . . . but a useful resource for the city.   By Steve Dale.  Recently updated.

Where your dog is Welcome & UNwelcome in Streeterville (no guarantees, YMMV, just based on my experience)

NOTE that unless specified, none of these places allow dogs inside . . .

WELCOME

UNWELCOME

Starbucks on Chestnut west of Michigan Ave.

Guinness was welcome to sit outside with me as I enjoyed an iced mocha.  They even gave me water for her!

Flat Sammies on Pearson East of Michigan

At one time they offered dog treats and a water dish for neighborhood dogs, but it was all a come-on.  I sat down outside with Crockett and was told to leave.  (I had purchased a lemonade.)  I was told that the city of Chicago threatened to revoke their license if they let dogs sit outside.

Ghiradellis on Pearson west of Michigan Ave.

This place is so busy they will never know if you are sitting outside with your puppy.  I just picked a table away from the door to enjoy my sundae.

Bubba Gump's Shrimp on Navy Pier

What were they thinking?  There must have been 40 empty tables but Crockett & friend were not welcome . . .

Dillon's Custard Shop on State Parkway almost across from Barnes & Noble

Let's just say that anyone cool enough to name their wonderful custard place after their gorgeous retriever is not going to fuss if you step inside with your four-footed buddy while you place an order.  It is seasonal, so get your custard while it is hot!

Tempo Chestnut at State

What a shame that dogs are not allowed because I would love to be a regular for breakfast!
