My closet has a revolving door
Now you see me

I play peek-a-boo with the past
in or out
Nam vet or not
like they say

Boomers always slam me shut
gushing oh my goodness you were there?
Plain to see where they were not.
X-ers expect Freddy Krueger in fatigues
I gleefully disappoint them every time.
Thousand yard stares can creak my door
as long as John Wayne and Rambo don't show.
Hey, Strawberry, what unit you with?
Hey, Flower Power, what class were you?
Only two things always melt my locks:
Gold Star Moms and "Welcome Home."
