A friend who was serving in Kuwait sent me this flag last summer.

It looked great in the display case!

I was really proud of the certificate!

The 74th Fighter Squadron was doing a hazardous job enforcing the no-fly zone over Iraq, not forgotten by friends and family - but not thought of by many of us . . .

Claire Chennault is one of my heroes and I felt like I had my own piece of "Flying Tigers" history.

But the only flag I could find to buy on North Michigan Ave was a small flag on a stick.  Just not the statement I wanted to make!  So the flag the Flying Tigers carried over Iraq has come out of retirement in a display case and is now waving from my balcony.  A friend told me the other day.  "I saw your flag.  I just knew that had to be your flag."  I never thought of my self as especially patriotic, so it felt good to know that when someone saw one flag -- they knew it had to be mine.

We may not always wear or display our flags, but we fight like tigers when it is threatened.
