PROJECT:
HEARTS AND MINDS
Our Mission
Project: Hearts and Minds' present focus is in Southeast Asia, specifically the health of children in several rural villages in both the former North and South Viet Nams. Veterans of the Viet Nam War play a key role in this process of reconciliation by participating in PHAM's mission teams which are sent with humanitarian aid each year to Viet Nam.Who We Are
Project: Hearts and Minds, Inc. is a volunteer non-profit, non-governmental organization. Many of us are war veterans. We seek to put a human face on the tragedy of war. Since 1992 we have worked together, in a non-partisan way, to establish on a person-to-person basis an evolving and healing relationship of friendship and reconciliation with countries where the United States has been at war. Our present focus is Viet Nam.

Ann Kelsey's account of her 1994 trip to Vietnam for PHAM
"PHAM was a symbol of reconciliation in microcosm. It brought together those who had fought in the Viet Nam War, and those who had fought against it, in a humanitarian effort focused on a nation whose name still means, for many, a war not a country."
