Behind Nancy Q are the newly filled pods, no growth, then a wall of sandbags, and behind it is the bunker. We had bunkers at each end of the boq's. There were 1st and 2nd floors. Bldg A housed men, Bldg B house women 1st flr. and men 2nd. flr., Bldg had 2 flrs. of women or A and C reversed. Only the middle bldg had a mix. |
Pods filled with sand replaced sandbags. It did not take long for the green growth and new grass. We sat under the donated parachute and swam in a field tub, often times jumping off the bunkers till one surgeon broke an arm! |
