Surface Navy Association
VADM Robert L. Walters Scholarship
Purpose: To recognize worthy members or spouses and children of members of the
Surface Navy Association and assist them in attaining their educational goals.
Amount of Award: $500 per year, renewable for a maximum of four years.
Eligibility: Members of the Surface Navy Association or their spouses or children who are
working towards their first undergraduate degree in an accredited college of
university. Applicants or their sponsors must be in their second or subsequent
consecutive year of membership in SNA in order to qualify for a grant.
Selection criteria: Demonstrated leadership, community service activities, candidate's academic record, extra-curricular activities, recommendations
