RUGBY TOUR 2002 -
Cayman Islands
March 25 started the nine days of
paradise in the sun and competitive rugby. From strolls down
Seven Mile Beach, drive across Grand Cayman, or snorkeling with the
stingrays, the Eagles experienced the best of what the Cayman Islands
are renowned for. In the
rugby match against the Cayman U18 Team, Gonzaga loses with the final
score of 5 - 18. Flanker Timmy Conley '02 scored the only try
for the Eagles. Flyhalf Matt Ginivan '02, Flankers Timmy Conley
'02 and Kevin Dougherty '02 were selected men of the match by the
Cayman Rugby Team. Thank
you to Cayman Rugby for their hospitality and rugby competition,
Tootie at the Eldemires Guesthouse, for the support from family and
friends: Fornaro Family, The Kellys, Mr. Murray, The Redelspergers,
The Digancis, and The McGraths. Thanks for the fan support from
the Ann Arbor girls.
