Confined Space Entry Ventilation Technique
The Saddle Vent® revolutionizes confined space operation by offering a level of safety and productivity that has never been available before.Invented by a professional tank cleaner for easy access for his workers to enter and exit a confined space, the Saddle Vent® takes up only 3 inches in a manhole and its unique design does not reduce air flow. Its design allows fresh air to be supplied to the workers and displace any harmful gases that may be deadly for the occupants. The use of the 90° elbow removes the severe kink in the air duct and allows for rotation of the intake duct to any desired position at the street level. An eight inch air hose is attached to both ends of The Saddle Vent® and placed in the entry access hole, thus eliminating the need to remove the hose each time entry or egress is required. In fact, the entire system can be set up in less than five minutes.
