nonfiction. Hundreds of her articles have appeared in numerous publications
including the Chicago Tribune, the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the Denver
Post, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the Spokesman-Review, Boys Life,

Halls was a regular contributing editor at Dinosaurus Magazine and the
Dino Times. She writes a monthly column on children's writing
for America Online's Writers Club and is the former editor of Kids Reads,
