Like its author, this page is still under
development but in brief, I am a 49 year old, married, father of 5 (!) who has
been practicing law for about 15 years. I've done many things prior to law
which have helped to make my practice and my life reasonably diversified. An accurate bio looks absurd, even to
me, but these are some of the things I've done for a living or for fun: Migrant
farm worker, pot washer, kosher chef, photographer/color darkroom technician,
waiter/bartender, mason, carpenter, roofer, painter, musician, banker, actor (I
was even a member of the Screen Actor's Guild), real estate agent/broker (I
currently own Estates Realty Co.), grand prix motorcycle racing, rabid cyclist. When I'm not practicing law or chasing
kids I can be found: at little league games; brownie or cub scout outings (I'm
now a den leader for BSA troop 77, Port Washington, NY); teaching someone to
sail, fish or drive a motorcycle; driving (not chasing) an ambulance for the
Port Washington Fire Medics; doing community theater; crashing Rotary Club
breakfasts; or finally fooling around on my computer.
I love good quotes and following are a few that
I like ….
“If you observe a truly
happy man, you will find him building a boat, writing a symphony educating his
child, growing double dahlias in his garden, or looking for dinosaur eggs in

"The gods do not
subtract from ones allotted span the time one spends in boats."
~~Henry McDanly
“Like a wind crying
endlessly through the universe, Time carries away the names and the deeds of
conquerors and commoners alike. And of all that we were, all that remains, is
in the memories of those who cared we came this way for a brief moment.”
~~Harlan Ellison epilogue to Paladin of the Lost
Hour (a Twilight Zone episode)
"Cool breeze. Warm fire. Full moon. Easy chair. Empty plates. Soft words. Sweet songs. Tall tales. Short sips. Long life."
~~John Egerton
"To laugh often and
love much; to win the respect of
intelligent persons and the affection of children; to earn the approbation of honest
critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give of one's self; to leave the world a bit better, whether
by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to have
played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; to know that even one life has breathed
easier because you have lived - this is to have succeeded."
~~Ralph W. Emerson 1803-1882
“Life
is not a staid and stately procession to the grave which has as its
intention arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather it is
intended that one skid into it broadside, thoroughly used up, totally
worn out and loudly proclaiming 'WOW--WHAT a Ride!!!'"
~~Hunter S. Thompson
The following selfportrait was taken after setting up a computer cam several years ago. I was thinking to myself “This thing is never going to work.” It did.
