Wax People is highlights from Eddie Def's rare/legenday Hemp Lords cassette recordings (Vols. 1 & 2). "After I did the original Hemp Lords in 1996 I didn't think that anyone would like it except for me," said Eddie Def. Wrong! People loved it and soonafter the handful of Hemp Lords tapes manufactured started circulating they quickly became much coveted collector's items by those who dug Eddie Def's DJ skills and could relate to his musical landscapes, accentuated by a montage of diverse pop cultural references. Using as his tools; two turntables, a mixer, a basic Gemini 4-second sampler, and a four-track Eddie spends months at a time carefully crafting each Hemp Lords volume. The opening segment of Hemp Lords II (CD track #1) for example includes about 150 different noise/sound sources. "I like to keep it moving real fast with just little bits, like bam bam, hitting you from the left and the right like a Mike Tyson fight," says Eddie whose style is in the tradition of the 1980's megamix records. "I'll take a horn, a snare, a scream, a guitar, a moan, a cartoon, or I'll flip an orchestra backwards. I love sounds and I love manipulating them or using them out of their original context," enthuses Eddie. "Cry Baby" for example contains a sample of his daughter Guilianna crying.

The Shiggar Fraggar Show! Vol. 3 is a remastered limited edition CD release featuring highlights from an orchestrated turntablist session featuring DJs Shiggar Fraggar, Disk, Qbert, 8-Ball, emcee UB40 and the Toadman (aka Alfred), recorded live August 17th, 1995, at Hip Hop Slam, Oakland, CA as part of the Pirate Fuckin' Radio Top 100 series and broadcast on numerous micro-powered pirate radio stations across the USA. At the time of recording the DJs, now known as the Invisibl Skratch Piklz, were known by most as the West Coast Rock Steady Crew.

The Shiggar Fraggar Show! Vol. 3 VHS is the video version of the CD. Interspersed between the locked down cameras eye on DJs Qbert, Shortkut, and Disk are (literally) hundreds of shots of south of Market district, San Francisco graffiti art captured in early '99 before gentrification swept across the area whitewashing most of the art in its sweep. There is also a short "DJ photo still hall of fame" form long time DJ photographer Timi D... Note that there is also a bonus track on the video version of The Shiggar Fraggar Show! Vol. 3 VHS: an outtake from The Shiggar Fraggar Show! Vol. 5 featuring Mixmaster Mike, Shortkut, Apollo, QBert, Disk, Shiggar Fraggar, and emcee UB.

Brain Language is one of the best recordings from the prolific Bay Area DJ known for his membership of the Space Travelers (along with DJs Cue, Quest, & Eddie Def), Sacred Hoop, 99th Demention, and (punk outfit) The Dwarves. Marz describes his style on Brain Language as "stoney stuff without rappers" although Luke Sick is featured on two tracks: "Blue Crank" and "Thycopaficfinka." Other highlights include the eighteen minute "Mixing Extravaganza" and "Loungin' Inda Cut."
