On August 17, 1998, the Congressional Fire Services Institute (CFSI) will host the Eight Annual CFSI Golf Classic. Realizing that golfers always enjoy new challenges, we have selected a new course for this year's outing. The Andrews Air Force Base Golf Course in Prince George's County is an outstanding course steeped in tradition and history.

All golfers will be treated to 18 holes of enjoyable golf, free range balls, a barbecue lunch, and an awards banquet. As part of the tournament tradition, CFSI will award prizes for the longest drive, closest to the pin, top teams and raffle winners.

The entry fee is $125 per golfer or $400 for a foursome with the proceeds benefiting CFSI. If your schedule prevents you from playing, you can participate in other ways. By sponsoring a hole or cart, your contribution of $100 or $50 respectively, will help CFSI maintain its strong presence on Capitol Hill educating members of Congress about fire and life safety issues. In return for your contribution, we will acknowledge your genorosity in the tournament brochure and on a sign prominently located on the day of the tournament.

I certainly hope we can count on you to help make this our best tournament yet. A registration form is available online for you to print out and fax to CFSI's offices at (202) 682-FIRE.

If you have any questions, please contact Mike Eversole, CFSI Events Coordinator, at (202) 371-1277.
