To Olney Soccer Club Travel Teams, Players, Parents and Supporters:
On Wednesday, January 14, 2004 the merger of The Olney Soccer Club (OSC) and the Olney Boys and Girls Community Sports Association (OBGC) was announced. After a year's worth of meetings, the two organizations are back together again. Some 28 years ago, the Olney Soccer Club was formed to provide a highly competitive level of soccer, broader in scope than the Olney Boys and Girls Club provided.
Over the years OSC has gained a reputation throughout the county and Maryland as a well run, competitive and forward-thinking organization. There is increased interest and support for soccer in the Olney community and central Montgomery County. Merging the current OSC and its leadership with OBGC's programs and facilities will benefit all levels in the new OBGC soccer programs.
Both organizations are commended for all their hard work in making this merger happen.
Yours in soccer,
Bill Sandusky, OSC President, OBGC Soccer Commissioner
Webmaster's note: The OSC web site is being updated to reflect the merger. Visit OGBC's home page for information on OBGC and its range of sports programs. (Return to the top of this page.)

The Olney Pumas Boys U11 team went 2-0-2 this weekend at their Washington Fall Classic Tournment. Pumas are an NCSL division 2 team and played three division 1 teams and a fellow division 2 team. The Pumas technically went undefeated but they did not advance to the championship game due to a penalty kick sudden death shoot out loss to the eventual champion, the McClean Hurricanes.
