Initiates statewide plan development and coordination of advocacy efforts through: lead-counseling and co-counseling of major litigation, back-up of individual advocates and offices, training and coordination of task forces or work groups. Covers substantive legal areas based on a combined assessment of client need, program priorities, and her/his own expertise. Supervises Directing Attorneys and maintains a close working relationship with field staff attorneys, support staff and all other coordinators. Requires eight years minimum experience in legal services or other related legal work, substantial experience and a wide range of advocacy and managerial skills as well as thorough knowledge of California State Law, APA, state administrative and legislative systems. Knowledge and experience in the substantive areas of civil rights, welfare/government benefits and immigration preferred.

Works approximately 50% in the Stockton and 50% in the Modesto office coordinating CRLA offices and other organizations in representing migrant farmworkers in all phases of litigation. Requires some evening and weekend work. Requires knowledge and experience with issues relating to the low-income farmworker community. Five years experience preferred. Fluency in Spanish and California Bar membership required.

California Bar membership is required.
$26,000 - $48,500 DOE, (plus bonus for DLAT and Directing Attorney positions). Excellent benefits.
