Board of Directors Meeting
Minutes for February 26, 2001

Present: Jesse Townley, Leslie Gordon, Nick Feldman, Hale Zukas, Julie Yates (Jay),

Leslie called meeting to order
Motion made to approve Leslie's agenda that came via email. Motion approved.

Went into Executive Session at 6:55 p.m. All office staff left premises.

Executive session ended at 7:25 p.m. Nick and Jay returned. Jonah no longer on telephone.

Background Checks
Nick presented his findings.
After much discussion motion was made that Executive Director has power to select a method of doing background checks but that he should report back to the board with a final proposal. If someone is hired who has had a felony (violent crime or theft, not drugs) within five years, it should be reported to the board. Motion approved.

Health Insurance
Motion made to approve personal, sick and vacation days as presented. Motion passed.

Jonah called back in at 8:05 p.m.

Motion made that president and contract director explore contract InfoUse proposal. Motion passed.

Motion made for next meeting to be scheduled for Monday, March 5 to finish up items on agenda not yet gotten to. Motion passed.

Discussion if Nick should stay or leave for executive session; Nick left at 8:20. Discussion if Jay should stay or leave for executive session. Jay left at 8:30.
