Creating Opportunities for Effective and Equitable Use of Technology: A Partnership Model

This article describes California's NetDay'96 and the workshops held during the summer of 1996, to train teachers and principals in applying the essential elements of integrating network technology into classroom instruction. Coordinated by the Santa Clara County Office of Education in collaboration with the City of San Jose, the San Jose Education Network was developed. Various corporate, vendor, and community partners participated. Continuing efforts for training workshops are planned.
