Mad Rushes Into the Future: The Overselling of Educational Technology

Douglas D. Noble
Educational Leadership, Vol 54 No 3, November 1996, p. 18-23

This article criticizes the rush to incorporate educational technology into the schools, especially the latest technology from larger companies. The main points are that business leaders don't understand education or educational technology, that schools are sold via advertising rather than through effective products, and education is being more directed by computers than computers are being a help for education.
