Training Prospective: Elementary Mathematics Teachers Using Interactive Multimedia

Gary G. Bitter
Computers in the Schools, Vol 11, No. 1, 1994, p. 5-20

Two studies extend the work on using interactive multimedia and explore the effectiveness of a videodisc technology-instructional prototype for an elementary mathematics education methods course. The results of the studies show that students felt the video system taught them novel methods for teaching children, the students liked the interactive video for teaching mathematics, but did not like the technical complexity of the system and felt it took too much time away from the conventional instruction.
