Construction of new software often focuses on intelligence, learning,
communication, and cognition. However, media psychology must also be considered,
including the perceptions, emotions, understandings, and behaviors wished
to be achieved. Media psychology is a composite of semantics, semiotics,
and synthetics. A special concern is the effect of graphic "bloody"
video games popular with kids. The article presents a case for more emphasis
on psychology in software development.
