Learning and Leading with Technology, Vol. 23, No. 2, October 1995, p. 8-9
This project involved using a computer simulation to involve students
in developing their mathematical skills. The population was students who
were at risk of failing their other mathematics courses. The results showed
that teacher observation and intervention are essential to the development
of effective learning groups. This process may be enhanced by the use of
well-designed computer software simulations. This use of technology encourages
student interaction, is motivating, generates a more positive attitude toward
school, and optimizes student performance.
