| Identity of Susanna Suddoth's husband has been called into question. Here is an email I received from another family researcher, Richard, Here is a "wet your whistle" bio on the Reuben, Willis and Mary Lee family history. To date it is not know to whom Susanna Sudduth was married. Many have speculated (and have done so far as to include it in a gedcom file as fact) that her husband's name was Willis. This is based on the fact that a Willis Lee Sr., listed on the 1810 census of Fauquier Country, Virginia on the same page with our Lees. This Willis Sr. has been proven to be from the Hancock Lee- Fauquier County family. R, W, and M's father was already dead in 1810. Susanna was a widow in 1797 when Moses Sudduth gave his nephews Reuben and Willis property in exchange for taking care of him during his lifetime as stated in the property deed. Their mother Susanna is identified by name and is stated to be a widow. I am very curious to find out if you have any family lore that state's we are related to Robert E. Lee. So far all of us doing research on Susanna's children have not come remotely close to proving there is any relationship to the famous Lees of Virginia other than the fact she married a Lee and was living in Fauguir, Virginia. However, during this time frame so did 57 other Lee living is Virginia as head of household's and only 8 came from the Immigrant Richard Lee.
