Amoco's Rebecca McDonald to Lead Natural Gas Supply Association

Washington, DC--At a dinner Wednesday evening, the members of the Natural Gas Supply Association elected Rebecca McDonald, president and CEO of Amoco Energy Development Co., as their 1998-99 chairman.

Elected as vice chairman was J. Larry Nichols, president of Devon Energy Corp. Richard J. Sharples, vice president, marketing, Anadarko Petroleum Corp., is NGSA's secretary/treasurer.

The Association's new committee chairs are:

Retirement of Exxon's Judd Miller

The Wednesday dinner was also held to honor long-time NGSA leader Judd Miller, Jr., who retired at the end of January as Exxon's Vice President, Natural Gas, after 41 years of service to the company. NGSA's outgoing chairman, Michael E. Wiley, chairman of the board of Vastar Resources, Inc. and executive vice president of ARCO, and Senator Frank Murkowski (R-Alaska) joined McDonald and Bush in expressing the industry's and public policy leaders' thanks to Miller, who has been a strong and influential leader in the development of national policy on natural gas for the past two decades. For the past year, Miller has chaired NGSA's Transmission Issues Committee.

The dinner also honored outgoing NGSA leaders who, in addition to Miller and Wiley, are:

Yeager and Niemiec continue in the leadership positions they held last year, while Sharples, last year's treasurer, assumes the additional position of secretary for 1998-99.


The Natural Gas Supply Association represents producers and marketers of domestic natural gas.
