ADJUSTABLE BASE: The adjustable base is constructed from a welded steel frame for maximum stability and all exposed surfaces feature a premium Epoxy Powder Coated finish, for maximum durability. The unit has a total weight capacity of 350 lb. The height of height adjustment is provided by a pull out crank handle (retracting back under the worksurface when not in use) with a full 6" of height adjustment. The vertical height adjustment is functioned using a unique "FlexDrive" mechanism, which provides a smooth operation through the entire range, under any load. Eight turns of the handle mechanism, provides approximately 1" of adjustment. This mechanism conforms to both the ANSI/BIFMA X5.5-1983 "Tests for Desk Products" and the BSI4875: Part 5: 1985 "Strength and Stability of Furniture" standards. CASTORS: The castors are dual wheel type, 60 mm diameter, 125 lb. capacity each. They are stem mounted into the adjustable base mechanism leg. Front castors are provided with locks to prevent unwanted movement.
