Notes: This album consists of eight songs Queen recorded for the British Broadcasting Corp (that's the BBC for you Americans) in 1973. The songs appeared on their first two studio albums, but these versions are slightly different. One attractive thing is that they're a little more raw, so you get a small insight to what their live show must have been like at the time. Of course, there are rhythm guitar tracks, so it's not strictly a live recording, and the background vocals are obviously overdubbed, but the energy is much different than a standard studio album.

In addition to a peek at their energy, it give studio hounds a little look at Queen's recording process as well.May's famous Brighton Rock solo makes an embryonic appearance here as part of an extended version of Son & Daughter.
