Notes: Queen's songwriting only improved from their decision to collaborate completely with each other on the Innuendo album. The songs have a new cohesiveness that pull together a consistently good album. Unfortunately due to Mercury's demise from AIDS, this is Queen's last real studio album. One studio album followed, Made In Heaven, on which the surviving members put together songs they had been working on before their singer died.

Innuendo (the song) is one of the few songs to feature an outside musician, in this case Steve Howe (of 1970's Yes fame). The other songs with collaborators that spring to mind are Don't Lose Your Head (w/Joan Armatrading, from A Kind Of Magic) and Under Pressure (w/David Bowie, from Hot Space). The Show Must Go On is chilling in the aftermath of Mercury's death. When Innuendo came out, he was still alive (though very sick) and only his closest friends even knew he had AIDS. In the light of the struggle it must have been to get this album finished (and the four or five videos from it), the album is all the more impressive.
