Notes: Well publicized or not, this is the album that changed Queen's career in the United States. Another One Bites the Dust charted high in the R&B market, much to everyone's surprise. For a couple years, Queen was a household name again, but it was soon to fade again.

This is a subtle album, more powerful than others in some aspects, but weaker than most Queen albums overall. All the songs are good, but only a few are really great.

On a technical note, this is the first album Queen ever used an electronic synthesizer for. It is also one of the few acknowledged times Brian used a guitar other than his home-made "Red Special" for recording; he used a Fender Telecaster to get that old-fashioned Elvis era sound for his solo in Crazy Little Thing Called Love. If you've ever seen Queen's performance of that song on Saturday Night Live, you see Brian switch from acoustic guitar to the Tele and then to his own.
