Deacon: electric piano on You're My Best Friend
May: vocal on '39 & Good Company

Notes: Queen's third home-run album in two years, ANATO showcases their ability to reach a high level of intensity and then maintain it for 45 recorded minutes of top-notch music. There isn't really a bad cut on this album (well, maybe Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon). It is not as diverse as Sheer Heart Attack, but it is definitely a little more daring and experimental...a la Bohemian Rhapsody. May's playing is no surprise on this album; Mercury's vocals are, to a certain extent. May is on a plateau here, while Mercury is rising. Taylor's drumming is especially appropriate; it's as if he clicked into a groove with the songwriters.
